People like to complicate things. It makes them feel smarter and more important.
Instead, it makes them look dumb. Most principles of spirituality, health and wealth are really simple.
Take the concept of fasting, for example. It has seen a lot of press in recent years.
Fasting is not a new concept – it’s an ancient one. It is seen in the Bible and throughout numerous texts of Eastern philosophy, from Lao Tzu to the Bhagavad-Gita.
It is discussed in the way of the Brahmacharya, as a component of sexual mastery.
We see that other major world religions encourage fasting as a way to repent for sin and clear the slate with God. Look at the Jewish tradition of Yom Kippur – or Ramadan, practiced by millions of Muslims worldwide.
It fascinates (and annoys) me to see such old knowledge get recycled and rebranded as an INNOVATIVE 21ST CENTURY ADVANCEMENT IN THE FIELD OF HEALTH AND NUTRITION.
There is nothing new under the sun, remember that.
Flamboyant fitness YouTubers and slimy online marketers want to sell you convoluted, over-complicated intermittent fasting programs, claiming they spent years in a top-secret underground laboratory coming up with breakthrough science.
We know they’re goons, but thousands buy into the scam year after year.
I’m here to tell you that that all the benefits of fasting can be attained by following one super-simple principle: DO NOT EAT FOOD BEFORE NOON.
Assuming that you live on a somewhat normal circadian schedule, this is all you need to know.
The complex scientific terminology and university studies are irrelevant. Unless you are a researcher yourself or just find it fascinating as a subject, there’s no reason to keep track of those facts and figures.
Let’s go through the 5 big reasons not to eat before noon, and refine this overblown topic once and for all.
1. Clarity Peaks in the Morning Hours
There is a cosmic energy shift that takes place in the morning, when the sun begins to peek over the horizon. The sky-clock starts over and it triggers a primal reaction in every living thing
Anybody who denies that is too disconnected from reality (overly-connected to the false, digital reality) to be taken seriously in any capacity. Let them sleep late and watch Sportscenter.
But while many people are out of bed and moving around with the morning sun, they think they need to eat “the most important meal of the day” to ensure success.
Little do they know, they are missing out on a HUGE spiritual boost by shoveling processed sugars and starches in their face before they even walk outside.
Pumped full of advertising and media propaganda, the 9-to-5 masses do themselves a major disservice when they break their fast immediately after waking.
It only serves to further lock them under the spell that keeps them in debt, out of shape and out of touch with God.
When I stopped eating in the AM, I saw my level of inspiration skyrocket almost instantly. My life purpose became more clear to me before my eyes.
I stopped getting bogged down in the mainstream media mud and started to create my own reality where health, wealth and wisdom were abundant.
Give yourself the gift of mental clarity and spiritual attunement in those waking hours. It really is a life-changing shift.
2. Food Consumption Interrupts Flow State
Lots of research in the psychology arena has been conducted on the concept of flow.
I argue that psychology has very little to do with it. Flow is purely a spiritual state, in which we steadily fulfill our potential without interruption or distraction.
My most effective flow states have always occurred before 12pm, regardless of my eating habits.
But when I removed food from the equation, my before-noon productivity went to the next level and beyond.
See, our bodies, minds and spirits are horrible multi-taskers. We are designed by God to do one thing at a time, and do it extremely well.
This is why people who call themselves multi-task experts are often out of shape, disorganized and depressed. Their bodies, minds and spirits are always on different pages and nothing ever gets accomplished.
Give up on the idea that food is essential to productivity. The exact opposite is true.
Designate the morning hours as the preferred time to push yourself mentally and make progress on your most important goals. Creativity, innovation and invention take place in this time.
You can save the administrative stuff for later in the day. Go through emails and do your taxes after your noontime meal, it doesn’t make a difference because a powerful flow state isn’t required.
Use this precious window of morning clarity and productivity wisely. This is where you will get your big ideas. This is where you transmute divine inspiration into real-world results.
This is where the magic happens.
In the evening, we’re worn out. Our willpower is depleted. Take that time to sit back and absorb some knowledge from another source. Enjoy a book or watch some info-tainment style television.
Stop sabotaging your ability to get into flow and do not even think about food until that noon bell rings.
3. Fat Burns With the Morning Sun
The majority of people in the West are fat, and the weight-loss industry is worth billions.
Fasted cardio is the answer they seek, but that isn’t complicated enough for the brainwashed masses.
Instead of taking action the right way, most cows would rather spend their money on shakes, pills, and ridiculous-looking equipment to help them on their “journey” toward a healthy weight.
They get mesmerized by busy graphs and studies that don’t mean a thing, then fork over the cash.
The truth is always simple: fat melts FAST when you FAST in the morning and MOVE.
That is the one big rule to follow. Everything else is just details.
Jump out of bed and do jumping jacks or skip rope. Take a jog at 11am after the heavy lifting of your workday is done. Do sprints up a hill and reward yourself with some fried eggs afterwards.
As long as you remain in a fasted state and get your heart rate up before Noon, you will burn fat. Simple as that. I have done it myself and seen countless others do the same.
Of course, it is too difficult for most people, which is why they look like they do.
The only other thing to keep in mind is the level of electrolytes, or salts, in your system.
You want to stay hydrated when you fast and workout, and a little pinch of sodium here and there will keep you on point. Potassium is also good for stopping cramps.
The combo of water and minerals is really all you need.
Be like the sun and start burning early. By noon you will be blazing high and bright.
4. Fasting is Key to Spiritual Growth
Spiritual self-defense is like any other martial art. It is a life-long practice and requires constant refinement.
Even the masters are always learning more and improving their abilities.
Meditation and prayer are foundational practices for sharpening our spiritual swords and priming our shields for battle with evil forces.
Abstaining from food in the morning hours allows us to put the full weight of our spirit into this practice.
Regardless of your religious practice or meditation routine, you will see vast improvements in your spiritual life if you do not eat before noon. That is a guarantee.
I pray to the Most High God every morning for at least 30 minutes. I sit down or kneel in a quiet spot. I turn my mind, body and spirit to God and thank him for everything. I praise him for his creation. I ask him humbly for peace and for power.
When I make the mistake of eating early in the day, my prayer seems to lose its impact. I cannot achieve the same stillness. I cannot communicate with God as effectively. His messages are far less comprehensible.
Even if you do not consider yourself a religious person, or you doubt the legitimacy of the spiritual dimension, fasting will set you on the path. Try some mainstream meditation at first, or follow one of my guided recordings available on this site.
Simply stepping in a more spiritual direction is one of the best decisions you will ever make in your life.
Restricting yourself from food before noon is a very powerful and practical way to make this happen.
5. Set A Standard of Excellence for the Day
The way you do one thing is the way you do everything.
By fasting, exercising, praying and working – all before Noon – you make it EXTREMELY unlikely that anything bad will happen for the rest of the day.
With this morning routine, your body is operating at its fullest, your mind is creating golden ideas, and your spirit is plugged in to the highest source of Divine Inspiration.
You will be better prepared to fend off demons and devils than 99.99% of the population.
You will be virtually untouchable by the influence of the media and the mindless masses.
You will accelerate rapidly towards the achievement of your goals.
You will be closer to God than ever before.
In Peace and Power,
