Hallmark holidays are bullshit, but you should honor your mother if she is still around.
Go visit her in person if you can.
Outsource nothing on Mother’s Day. Do everything from scratch.
Your gratitude and love is diluted by cookie-cutter corporate crap.
Don’t buy her a massive bouquet of flowers online. Assemble your own arrangement and craft a hand-written card. Blow up a balloon.
Don’t send her to a day spa. Set up a relaxing sanctuary in the home and let her chill out for a while.
Restaurants are overbooked and the service will lag. Cook a healthy meal she loves and clean up afterward.
Have her enjoy a goofy TV show or a card game. My mom likes bridge.
Tell her you appreciate her eternally for bringing you into the world.
Forgive her for the mistakes she made.
Don’t be cheesy. Be real. Give her the truth. Acknowledge her work.
Our backwards society trivializes mothers and doesn’t take them seriously.
Truthfully, it is the most important job that exists. Its value cannot be measured in a quantitative dimension, despite what the materialists say.
It pains me to see my generation failing on this fundamental level.
Many feminists would rather die than become a mom.
I have worked alongside females who mock women pushing strollers.
Meanwhile they go home each night and wash down cat hairballs with gulps of cheap sauvignon. Their reality is a dismal one.
I see no veneration of motherhood from the other gender, either.
Many salty males shrug and say having and raising children is easy. Wrong. It requires more dedication and self-sacrifice than they can fathom.
Real men and women know the critical importance of motherly love. They brush away the media’s vile attempts to minimize it.
While millions of miserable millennials choose the childless life, the human race is still multiplying.
Sadly, many moms opt to outsource love and attention. The childcare industry is booming. Governments advocate for Free Pre-K Education.
Since I have a brain in my skull, I can plainly see that this is an attempt at eradicating motherhood entirely.
Don’t let this happen. Honor your Mother. Recognize her power in the family and as a pillar of civilization. Make her a damn waffle.
In Peace and Power,
CJ
